Wildland Firefighting

North Metro Fire Rescue District's Wildland Team was formally established and equipped in 2000. Over the years, the Wildland Team has served as a local, state and federal resource, deploying to fires throughout Colorado and the Western United States.

The team operates five vehicles that can be sent out on wildland fires. North Metro Fire’s Wildland Team operates four Type 6 brush trucks and one Type 3 engine. Depending on incident needs, the Wildland Team can deploy as a strike team or a task force.
