Emergency Medical Services
As the number of emergency medical service calls continues to rise, comprising approximately 70% of the fire district’s response needs, North Metro Fire is dedicated to expanding and elevating its medical care services.

Fire Suppression
North Metro Fire Rescue District responded to over 275 fires in 2016, including fires in the District and assisting neighboring fire agencies on additional fires outside of the District.

Hazardous Materials
All North Metro firefighters are trained and equipped to deal with hazardous materials (HazMat) containment, evacuation and minimization of long-term effects at hazardous material incidents.

Honor Guard
The North Metro Fire Rescue District’s Honor Guard was founded in 1995 for the purpose of rendering honors to deceased members of the fire service and for formal presentations of colors during civic and governmental ceremonies.

Technical Rescue
Although technical rescue training has been included in regular training regimens at North Metro Fire for a number of years, the Technical Rescue Team was formalized in 2001.

Wildland Firefighting
North Metro Fire Rescue’s Wildland Team was formally established and equipped in 2000.
