Emergency Operations Overview

A thriving fire district, North Metro Fire serves five counties, covering more than 58 square miles and a community of more than 126,000 residents. The district is staffed by 197 full-time, professional firefighters, administrative, training and fire prevention personnel. Through extensive training and commitment at all ranks, North Metro Fire has earned a strong reputation among other fire/EMS agencies and within the community for its professionalism and excellence in care. The district’s response capabilities are further strengthened by its special teams, including wildland, hazardous materials, technical rescue, tactical EMS and airport/ARFF operations. North Metro Fire is also dedicated to risk reduction, working with businesses and residents to build a safer community through education and community outreach as well as fire prevention and engineering services.
