Plans for kitchen hood fire-extinguishing systems submitted to the fire district for review shall minimally include shop drawings and manufacturer’s specification sheets for the equipment to be installed all in PDF format. Plans shall clearly indicate the hazard(s) to be protected and shall include the following information:
- The edition and name of the standard(s) to which the system was designed
- Size, length, and arrangement of connected piping
- Description and location of nozzles
- Physical dimensions of the exhaust hood and appliances to be protected
- Types of cooking appliance(s) to be protected
- Energy sources for each appliance
- Information about the air handling equipment serving the space
- Manufacturers’ technical data sheets (i.e., “cut sheets”) for all equipment, devices, and material
