If you own a fire extinguisher at your home or workplace, it's important to know how to use it effectively. You can learn the proper way to use a fire extinguisher and what to look for when purchasing them through North Metro Fire's fire extinguisher training class. This 2.5-hour training covers the different types of extinguishers, explains when you should use a fire extinguisher and when you should not, and it provides hands-on training using a fire extinguisher. Register online for one of our monthly classes.

North Metro Fire provides free training classes the first Wednesday of every month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at North Metro Fire's Headquarters, 101 Spader Way, Broomfield. You can register for these classes, which are best suited for smaller groups and individuals. For groups of 10-20 members that are unable to attend one of the monthly Wednesday classes, North Metro Fire offers training by appointment with one of our qualified instructors, as scheduling allows. Due to limited staffing and resources, North Metro Fire does not provide training to larger groups of 20 or more, but we encourage you to contract the services of a private training company for fire extinguisher training.
