History

North Metro Fire Rescue District (formerly known as West Adams County Fire Protection District) was formed on November 8, 1946, by a group of 30 volunteers from the area of Eastlake, Colorado.  Throughout the last 70 years, North Metro Fire Rescue District has seen many changes to the organization, the services provided to its citizens and the fire industry in general.
