2027 Board Election
North Metro Fire is hosting a board of directors election on Tuesday, May 4, 2027, to fill three at-large board positions. Eligible voters may request an absentee ballot or vote in person at a polling location on election day.
Election Polling Locations
Absentee ballots may be mailed in or dropped off at one of the polling locations but must be received by 7 p.m. on May 4, 2027 to be counted in the board election. All other voters may vote in person at one of three polling locations, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 4, 2027:
- North Metro Fire Headquarters, 101 Spader Way, Broomfield
- North Metro Fire Station 62 - 10550 Huron St., Northglenn
- North Metro Fire Station 64 - 13515 Lowell Blvd., Broomfield
About the Board
North Metro Fire’s board of directors consists of five members who help establish policies and set the annual budget for the district. North Metro Fire Chief Mark Daugherty is the chief executive officer of the district and reports to the board. Chief Daugherty and his staff manage all of the day-to-day operations of the district in accordance with the policies and budget established by the board.
The board typically meets the third Tuesday of every month from 4 to 7 p.m. Directors are required to attend monthly board meetings and occasional study sessions as needed. Board meetings are typically held at the district’s headquarters, 101 Spader Way, Broomfield, unless otherwise specified by the board. Directors are also encouraged to attend community events hosted by the district.
