North Metro Fire Station 61 was originally built in 1956 and underwent a complete rebuild in 2022. This station is home to three shifts of five firefighters and one battalion chief who staff a fire engine, ambulance and command staff vehicle. Station 61 has experienced a steady increase of fire and emergency medical calls, which parallels the growth within the City and County of Broomfield. Out of all of this station’s calls, close to 70% are medical emergencies.
