Fire Suppression

In 2010, North Metro Fire Rescue responded to 8,542 emergency calls. Call volume rose over 9% from 2009, with a reduction in fire incidents and a 3% increase in medical emergency calls in 2009. Out of the†258 fire-related incidents, the largest percentage (40%) occurred outdoors (grass/brush) barely edging out residential structure fires at 36%.†Vehicle fires earned third place at 14%.
