EMS (Emergency Medical Service)
In June 2001, North Metro Fire Rescue implemented full-time ambulance transport throughout portions of the Fire District, including the entire County of Broomfield and the city of Northglenn. Currently, five 24-hour ambulances operate from stations located in Broomfield and Northglenn. Medic 61 responds from Station 61 located at 1275 Midway Boulevard. Medic 62 responds from 10550 Huron Street, Northglenn. Medic 63 responds from 10941 Irma Drive, Northglenn. Medic 64 operates from Station 64 at 13515 Lowell Boulevard. Medic 66 operates from Station 66 at 1750 W. 160th Avenue.
As the number of emergency medical service calls continues to rise, comprising approximately 70% of the Fire District’s response needs, North Metro Fire Rescue District is dedicated to expanding and elevating its medical care services. With 55 department paramedics on board and existing EMT-Intermediate personnel, North Metro Fire Rescue is committed to providing advanced life support capabilities on every piece of fire department apparatus.
