EMS (Emergency Medical Service)
In June 2001, North Metro Fire Rescue implemented full-time ambulance transport throughout portions of the Fire District, including the entire County of Broomfield. Currently, three 24-hour ambulances operate from stations located in Broomfield. Medic 61 responds from Station 61 located at 1275 Midway Boulevard. Medic 64 operates from Station 64 at 13515 Lowell Boulevard. Medic 66 operates from Station 66 at 1750 W. 160th Avenue.
North Metro Fire Rescue also contracts with Northglenn Ambulance to provide transport services to City of Northglenn citizens. Medical calls in this portion of the Fire District will receive resources from both agencies.
As the number of emergency medical service calls continues to rise, comprising approximately 70% of the Fire District’s response needs, North Metro Fire Rescue District is dedicated to expanding and elevating its medical care services. With 36 department paramedics on board and existing EMT-Intermediate personnel, North Metro Fire Rescue is committed to provide advanced life support capabilities on every piece of fire department apparatus.
