Home Fire Displaces Residents
February 22, 2010- At approximately 9:30 a.m. this morning, North Metro Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at a mobile home located at 11800 Wadsworth Boulevard, Unit 26 in Broomfield. North Metro crews found a single wide mobile property on fire and one adult female was taken to Avista Hospital for assessment of nonlife threatening injuries.

Senior Fire Officer Completes Executive Program April 7 2009– The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) U.S. Fire Administration’s (USFA) National Fire Academy (NFA) announced that Deputy Chief Joseph Bruce successfully completed the four-year, Executive Fire Officer Program (EFOP).

North Metro Fire Rescue Public Educator Receives Top Honor March 17 2009– This March North Metro Fire Rescue Life Safety Education Officer, Pam Kutchen, received the “2008 Educator of the Year” award from the Fire and Safety Educators of Colorado. Kutchen has been an educator for North Metro since 2005. Prior to this position Kutchen served as a Fire Service Secretary for North Metro Fire Rescue for almost seven years.
North Metro Fire Extends a "Handyman" to Senior Fall and Fire Victims March 11 2009– With falls and fires remaining at the top of the list as the leading cause of home injury death for seniors, North Metro Fire Rescue is proud to officially partner with the Volunteers of America, “Safety of Seniors Handyman Program.”

Liquor Store Fire - Update March 1, 2005 — North Metro Fire Rescue Fire Investigators continue their investigation on the fire at Northglenn Liquors which began at approximately 11:47 p.m. on February 28, 2005. North Metro Investigators have removed various pieces of evidence to be sent to a lab to test for flammable and ignitable liquids. I-25 Morning Collision February 28, 2005 — At 2:51 a.m. this morning North Metro Fire Rescue responded to a confirmed vehicle fire on Northbound I-25 before the 104th Avenue exit. Upon arrival fire crews found one police vehicle on fire, a tow truck severely damaged and a semi-trailer that had rolled down an embankment.

Owner Attempting To Rescue Pet Becomes Second Victim February 13, 2004— At 11:05 a.m. today North Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to an ice rescue involving a dog that had gone out onto Josh’s Pond (located in open space west of the Loc Amora subdivision).
