The North Metro Fire Rescue District
(formerly known as West Adams County
Fire Protection District) was formed on
November 8, 1946 by a group of 30
volunteers from the area of Eastlake, Colorado.
Throughout the last 60 years, North Metro
Fire Rescue District has seen many changes
to the organization, the services provided to
its citizens and the fire industry in general.
The following will highlight some of the most
significant moments in our 60 years of proud
service to the community.
